Michel Kinnaert biography: received the M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from  Stanford University in 1984, and the Ph.D. degree from ULB in 1987. After being employed by the Belgian National Fund for Scientific Research, he was appointed by ULB where he is now Professor in the Department of Control Engineering and System Analysis. He held Visiting Professor position in Université Claude Bernard Lyon I, Lyon, France. He has been the Chairman of the IFAC Technical Committee SAFEPROCESS and he is an Associate Editor of Control Engineering Practice. He coauthored, with M. Blanke, J. Lunze and M. Staroswiecki, the book Diagnosis and  Fault Tolerant Control, Third Edition, Springer, 2016. His research  interests include system modeling, monitoring and control with applications in mechatronics and power systems.

Nestor.
